December 5th Minier Christmas Parade needs YOU to represent CLA!!

This Saturday, December 5th - Help represent CLA in the Minier Christmas Parade!
The parade begins at 2:00.  We will need to line up between 1:00-1:30. We are planning to have a trailer for those that would like to ride and others can walk also.  You can wear CLA shirts or green, white and red.  Any questions, please contact Lauren Gibson at 309-826-1848. Thanks!

REMINDER . . . IT’S COLD OUTSIDE . . . PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILDREN PREPARED!

Our policy is that students will go out for recess every day, unless the weather is very cold (temperature or windchill well below freezing) or precipitation prevents outside recess.  So please make sure that students have hats, gloves and warm coats.  On days when snow is on the ground, children may play in the snow if they have boots.

Weather Delay or Cancellations . . .
Please “like” the CLA facebook page.  Information about weather cancellations or delays will be posted by 7 am on the facebook page, so you could use this as your source for information on questionable weather days.  We also (in most cases) follow the Olympia CUSD 16 weather decisions.  Weather delays and cancellations will also be on TV Channels 25 and 31 as well as on their websites.

SANTA'S SECRET SHOP! Christmas Shopping Opportunity for students! See information sent home with your child from Student Council.

Morning and Afternoon Daycare Reminders

There are certain days when daycare is close to capacity, both in the morning and the afternoon.  This is just a reminder that for afternoon daycare, please let the school know as early as possible, and at least by noon, if your child (who is not normally at daycare) needs to utilize after school care.  Also, please do not use daycare (morning or afternoon) simply as a “play date” for your child to join friends at daycare.  The intention of the daycare is for those families who need it due to work schedules. If everyone remembers these guidelines, it will help our program to work well.

From the Principal's Desk

My prayer for this season . . . that we would all continue to see the LOVE God has for us, as shown by sending His one and only Son… So that we could know Him and make Him known!  Let’s all remember to share with others the JOY we have because of God’s love for us!

In Christ,
Mr. Horning
