REMINDER: Enrollment 2017-2018 . . .

Even though the early enrollment deadline has passed, we still encourage families to enroll now to make plans solid for next year. There are openings at all grade levels: PreK-10th grade.  Share this with friends!

Congratulations to Mrs. Bowman’s Classes: Lexia Reading Challenge . . .

1st and 2nd grades participated in a Lexia Challenge. There were 4,200+ classes that participated in the challenge.  Of those, our 2nd graders earned 5th place of the top classes in the nation!!! They also earned a pizza party sponsored by Lexia because they were 1st in the Midwest for classes less than 15 students! First grade also did and great job! They were 4th in the Midwest for classes less than 15 students!

EASTER PROGRAM -- APRIL 11 -- "ROAD TO RESURRECTION!"

On Tuesday, April 11th, CLA will be having its annual Easter program!  This year, families will get to experience the Road to Resurrection- an interactive walk-through of 5 stations that reflect powerful moments in Jesus' life.  Groups of 15-20 will be led by a destination guide to each station, and overall it will take between 50-60 minutes to complete.  After you are done, please visit the cafeteria for refreshments or take your children outside for some family play time prior to our community worship service at 7 p.m.

In order to make this evening a success, we need YOUR help!  We need an adult volunteer to oversee the refreshment station in the cafeteria, a photographer, and several people who would be willing to contribute some cookies/treats! If you are willing to help, please email Mrs. Stribling at astribling@clacademy.org and let her know what you would be willing to do!

Parents, be sure to use SignUp Genius to reserve a time slot to participate in the Road to Resurrection.

  • Kindergarten through 4th grade students will need to have "dress casual" clothes for the program- khakis/polos/dress shirts for the boys, dresses/leggings for the girls.  No jeans, t-shirts, or clothing with writing/graphics on them, please!  (There should be ample time for any K-4 students who wish to participate in the Road to Resurrection to change prior to the worship service at 7 p.m.)
  • 5th-8th grade students- most of you will be staying after school on Tuesday 4/11 to transform the classrooms into stations!  Please bring clothes to change into for the Easter program. :)
  • As always, if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Stribling!

From the Principal's Desk . . .

As we prepare to take a week off for spring break, it is good to reflect on what God has accomplished through CLA this year so far.  He has carried us through difficulty, and allowed us to see victories.  He’s comforted us in sorrow and blessed us with joy.  Remember to regularly say “Thank You” to our Lord!!

In Christ,

Mr. Horning
