News from the Music Department!
● We are looking for 3-5 middle/high schoolers and 6-8 K-4th grade students to sing with the Seeds Family Worship crew at the concert during Life Days. If you are interested, please let Mrs. Stribling know. You will need to know all motions to the songs being performed, be enthusiastic, and sing with all your heart! The Seeds concert during Life Days is Saturday, October 14th at 3pm.
● 1st and 2nd grade students have begun learning how to play the ukelele! Yes, it's every bit as fun and interesting as you can imagine. ;) If your child has a ukelele and they wish to play their own, please feel free to have them bring it to school. Otherwise, we will be working with a partner while we learn our ukelele skills!
Don’t forget that you can pick up “in-stock” scrip cards at the school office. Great idea for a last minute gift!

Over 2500 Box Tops were collected during National Box Tops Week this week! That’s a great start to our year for Box tops!
AR (Accerated Reader) Store Donations needed!
It is exciting to encourage our young people to read… and the Accelerated Reader program is one way we do that. They can accumulate points, which are then used to make purchases at the “AR Store” several times each year. Would you be willing to donate some items (small toys, fun stuff)? If so, just send to the school marked “AR Store” and it will be available for purchase for the kids. Thanks in advance!

This week I had the opportunity to substitute in several classes, including Bible classes with our middle school and high school students. In the course of these classes, we were discussing the concept of loving others so much that you care less about yourself… a perfect example is our Savior, who “made Himself nothing” when he became human to live on the earth, and ultimately paid the price for the sin of us all!. Let’s be more like Jesus every day, as we care for others more than ourselves.
